How big was the bone? And what breed is the dog. I'm another advocate for chicken frames... also brisket bones are good too, and can also be purchased cheap at the butcher!

Go to your local butcher and ask them for a brisket bone or whole chicken carcass. Give it to your pup in replacement for one of its meals. Just make sure you can supervise the puppy while it has the bone, in case it tries to swallow that too.

Thats ok, but things like chicken carcasses and brisket bones are actually really good for them. It helps them teethe, they get natural calcium etc from the bones. There is nothing wrong with them having them, you just need to judge the size of the bone on the size of the dog

For a puppies teeth, as I said before, I'd suggest brisket bones (which are red meat) or whole chicken carcasses. That way he should be able to eat the whole thing. Jack was on them from just after we brought him home.
