    Default Best Dog Food?

What does everyone think is the best dog food?

My dog only eats Iams. I have tried to feed her different kinds, but she doesn't like them. Although I don't mind if I feed her Iams, it just seems weird that she won't eat any other brand.

What do you mean by best? The most nutrition or the most tasteful

My dog eats mainly cesar (kinda expensive after awhile) and royal canin (dry food) mixed.

Every day veterinarians are asked that question by dog owners. It's a sincere question because most dog owners want to feed the Good health begins with proper nutrition.best diet regardless of price or convenience of acquisition. The content of this page is my opinion regarding the "best" dry food and how to determine what you think is "best" to feed dogs. Please understand that the entire discussion on this page relates to healthy dogs with no kidney, thyroid, food allergy or other abnormal conditions. Here is why it is strictly an opinion... there is no single answer to the question "What is the best diet to feed a dog?" Or if there is an answer it is this "It depends". Over the past 37 years I have been examining dogs and cats in my practices I have made it a point to ask the owner "What diet are you feeding?" I have gotten all sorts of answers but in every case I relate the owner's response to what I am seeing in the patient. And over the years my suggestions regarding what to feed have changed. Originally I took the pet food manufacturer's declarations as fact... that an assortment of "Complete and Balanced" pet foods were perfectly nourishing because that wording was not legally permitted on pet food labels unless feeding trials demonstrated its veracity. I eventually discovered I was mistaken in the belief that any "Complete and Balanced" dog food was appropriate to feed.

    We raw feed.
It works out cheaper than most commercial foods and the greyhounds do really well on it.
(And it makes cleaning up after them a lot more pleasant! )

We have started the raw diet after feeding dry food for years & already, I am very impressed The dogs still think they are STARVING lol but I have already seen a reduction in their poop count. My dogs are used to catching rats & having the barn cats bringing them rabbits, so it wasn't too hard to make the switch.

Hi everyone. I have found through resereach that supermarket brands are by far the worst! The best is from a company in america called Natura. The have kibbles, biscuits, wet foods that contain only the very best ingredients no poisons, no fillers like sawdust, no dyes, no colourings. Yes it isnt cheap but how much is your dogs health worth? Not to mention vet bills for diet related illnesses. its well worth the time to go look and research it for your furry best friends. Anyways, thats my two cents worth on this topic.
