Unhappy RIP to Bear & Kooda

For all those on facebook that follow any rescue/anti bsl pages you probably would have heard about Bear & Kooda's owners fight with the Victorian government to not have their dogs put to sleep. Today after a quick change of mind by the council they were put to sleep.

Here are their last moments before they were PTS. This honestly breaks my heart... there is no way these dogs visibly have any APBT in them. The Victorian Government should be ashamed of themselves for letting this happen.

I don't have anything to say. The image alone brings a tear to my eye. It's sad, and i can't imagine the hurt & despair Bear & Koda's owners must be feeling right now. I can't comprehend just how hard it would be to say goodbye to your best mate under those circumstances.

    God bless Bear & Koda

How so VERY SAD, what was their crime???

Im sorry, I have very little tolerance for ridiculas rules and regulations, especially those put in place for no other reason than to be SEEN to be doing something. if they were mine, or if i worked in that kennel.....those dogs would be happily sipping cool water on a property outback queensland somewhere.

If they had attacked someone or another animal that would be a different story with them AND their owners PTS, but they have done nothing wrong.

I don't know what to say, it is simply tragic and unjust.
What I find very frightening and disturbing is that somewhere someone is smiling over this, and others hold a sense of achievement in killing these two dogs. People actually fought to kill these peoples pets.
    RIP beautiful dogs.

It is just too awful for words...

Most of us have been in a situation where we had to make the decision to have a pet PTS to end its suffering. We all remember what a heart breaking experience this was, even though we knew we were doing this out of love. The thought of someone ordering a perfectly happy and healthy pet to be PTS just because of the way they look is just an unbearable thought.

RIP Bear and Kooda and strength to the vets who had to perform this atrocious task.
