I really hope all the owners of Amstaffs keep their furkids on leads or well locked in yards or homes until decision is changed or clarified by State Government.

I think this **** is getting out of hand.

    1) they handballed it to the state government for clarification
    2) if Amstaffs are considered regulated dogs by the state government then and only then I can see how the above is possible on the GC but not before. But then again it is the GCCC hell they've been sacked what twice now allready?
Its like the wild west of tumbleweed town.

Pitbulls ARE NOT A PROHIBITED BREED IN QLD as the article states, and never have been at all, they are a regulated breed. Individual councils may prohibit them at will if they wish to.

I can buy one tomorrow if I wanted, and keep legally as my council only follows state mandated legislation on the breed and has nothing in it's local sobordinate laws saying otherwise.. People keep confusing the states laws to death over and over again. No wonder people ave heart attacks with stress.

edit: And the court found Tango was a purebreed American staffordshire terrier, also known as a pit bull.
    (33) (34) (35) of the judgement.

Know what you're saying Bo, but in reality I wish all owners of ALL dogs would do this. Not nice being attacked by a bunch of wandering or unrestrained chihuahuas either.

Chihuahuas seem to attack more than the bigger dogs! I just hate have little bite marks around my ankles!

Yeah I know Myf, no-one cares about all the little dogs attacking, do they? Sigh. But get a pack of them and they can sure do some damage too, ppl don't realise how much.

That is so true! My little Chihuahua, Teddy goes off at any dog large or small. He has had a go at a Rotti, GSD, Great Dane and a Greyhound. He's a silly boy and every time he does this I say to him, "Teddy they would gobble you up in one go so you don't stand a chance boy". Lol, call me stupid but hey it's true! Lol.
