I must admit, I used to have a Nissan XTrail and mechanically, it was very sound, never had any problems however it never really went offroad, even though it probably would have had no problems...If I was ever to get another bigger 4WD I would probably go Nissan again, just from previous experience owning one.

Well, well......LOL... I bought the last 'real' 4x4 toyota ever made...a live axle front end, meaning 2 diffs girls !!

I used to own a Pajero...wasnt bad at all. I got a kick out of keeping up with the poo-trols and the landcruisers...until it got real serious !!

I would never mention it before but Pajero is actually 'Wanker' in spanish lol.....
Reyzor , one of my mates recently bought a jeep so it'll be interesting to see how these things go ....'won a war'...fair call but i know your not a fan of americans, yet you love your Yank tank???? Just hacking mate....one day i'll spend the coin you have on yours and then i'll gladly let ya try and keep up !!! ....

At the end of the day i'd really love to own a 'real' HUMMER !!! Not the little aussie version...the real army version !!

Kassy...i know what ya mean about cadets...i did army cadets for years...loved bivwacks in hootchies !!! Using charcoal for camo paint and doing lookout shifts in the pooring rain !! Armed with my trusty SLR rifle !!! Brings back good and bad memories...cadets killed my will to join the army....to much corruption and B.S behind the scenes for my undisciplined attitude. Never did so many push ups in my life...LOL..

    This made me laugh.........................

Pajero's are a very capable 4WD and great value for the money, there not rock hoppers but with right set up they can go most places any other 4WD can go. How many Dakar's have they won?
Many people from the pajero club have travelled those roads with no problems except for the odd flat tyre, and remember most 4WD's regardless of brand have been modified to handle those tuff conditions.

    Dingoes anyone!

    Have an awesome trip Sean.

My thoughts on fraser island dingoes are they are extremely mismanaged, but this is due to Qld as a state still having an archaic view of them via arrogance and not recognizing or simply failing to see the significance of them in the ecology of fraser island. Not simply fraser coast councils attitude.
