Default Victoria's standard for restricted breed dogs

I'm not sure if it has been posted before, but here is the link for the visual standard Victorian rangers are following to identify Pit Bulls.

Standard for Restricted Breed Dogs - Department of Primary Industries

There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face.

Yeah I've seen it. How many non pitties could meet those criteria?

Might I add that figure 3 is obviously not a pit bull.

If it wasn't so serious, it would just be a sad joke!
I really do think if it's possible the validity of it should be challenged.

Someone sure needs to step up and challenge it.

I'm no expert, but I have read consistently that this standard is effectively that for an AmStaff.

And the lowest denominator is that technically a 'standard' is only for use in populations where breed has already been established.

The use of such a standard by untrained and inexpert individuals who then are accorded expert status by VCAT is another area which would not withstand challenge from a competent lawyer.

You're right, Beau. If it weren't do deadly, it would be ludicrous.

The worst part of it is - they can take pitbull crosses too - so they don't even have to look like the standard.
