    My old dog was a wolfhound cross and was quite dark brindle. She also had a ridge.

    Sorry Liss, thought I mentioned. Green is normal - after the first pup has been born. It's from the separating placentas, not meconium.

    She may well be more terrier x than wolfhound x, she looks very small...

    Glad things have been travelling ok. It is nerve wracking, and you feel so much more helpless than with farm animals where you can physically help if needed.

    Waiting at vet now for her to be seen, all labour seems to have stopped but there's more pups in there she's so exhausted now....

    It's been 24 hrs now since first signs of labour....
    I hope we havnt left it too late.....

    My Bella birthed 3 pups and then had a c-section for the 4th the next day. All was well.. she did bleed a bit heavily from the long labour, but it was controlled eventually and her pups all thrived, until they got some weird tummy bug at day 2 or 3 *sigh* then it was tube feeds at the vet and bottle feeds etc
    Breeding is hard work.. certainly not something I would ever do again.

    She has 8/9 pups left in her vet says she's staying with them they r giving calcium and stntocin to her till morning see what happens then go from there and I'm taking 3 pups home to feed
