    Nail polish

Get a bunch of different colors and just put a dab one of their front nails. It's easier when referring to an individual pup too (ie: the blue boy or the orange girl) It doesn't come off easily and it's easy to tell the difference

    Good luck!

You can get special nail polish for dogs - not sure if this is because normal polish is toxic, or just clever marketing

Hope all goes smoothly! Keep us updated

OP, the puppies will be GSDX rotti right? All puppies are different in some way, I;'m sure you'll work it out and be able to tell them apart.

We had a false alarm one night before the whelping. It was in the murky light pre dawn....Hubby wakes me excitedly...Ï think Pretty has had a pup"

We turned on the light and......she had dragged an old black sock of his onto her bed.

I later found out by experience that blue heeler pups are white at birth with their black markings.
