Default Whippet Puppets Six Weeks Old

Our babies are growing up and are now 6 weeks old. Only a couple of weeks to go and they'll be in their new homes. I'll miss them.

They are such a determined little bunch, not a submissive one amongst them, god help their new owners.

They are very clean and do not like to dirty in their large night crate so set up a howl around 2am to be let out to toilet, which they do very quickly before scurrying back inside to bed.

They are all good eaters. Love their toys and sleep like the dead no matter how loud SD14 plays her music.

Of a day now they are out in the puppy yard at the side of the house so they can see and hear cars arriving on the gravel drive and thru to the back where the other dogs are.

Mum is having trouble letting go and lays by the mesh fence and so do the other dogs watching the litters antics. They growl and fight with each other like typical sight hounds

They have visits with the other dogs, but have a tendency to think they are all bearers of milk. This did not impress their dad when they latched on to something rather delicate.

I sat on the front porch this morning and watched dad put one long elegant leg thru the mesh and drag one of the puppy toys to the fence then try and pull it thru.

I'm going to miss the puppets when they go.

They are having their first needles this arvo and will get microchipped as well, so am expecting they will be a little more subdued tonight.

I have lots of photo's but can't get them on to the forum. I'm loath to ask OH at the end of the day if he will do it for me because the last thing he needs at the end of the day is to deal with another computer illiterate dunce.

I have been sending regular photo's to Cate as she is the other Whippet enthusiast on the forum so perhaps I could ask if she still has the group photo and could post it for me??

If not I'll ask OH tonight.

If you cant, you can't. It would be nice to see them again before they all go to their new homes though.
Hey, are you giving all the new owners an advertisement for this site in their puppy pack?
