Default German sheppard male seeks girlfriend dog in Adelaide area.

    Hello,

Male purebred German Sheppard, non desexed, 3YO, is in top physical condition, and needs a non desexed female girlfriend for occasional dating.

I think this dog needs to release its sexual tension, i am not looking to make any money, it is solely for the well being of the dog. Ideally the dog will meet just one girlfriend and can meet up occasionally.

Location: Seaton, South Australia. Can meet in mutual location if suitable.

Hopefully this post is not offensive to anybody.

Dogs don't need to 'release sexual tension'. There is no need for any more German shepherd puppies, especially for ones that are from parents who have more than likely had no testing for genetic conditions (hips etc).
Your heart might be in the right place but please just desex him!

Just as long as he keeps his genes to himself. No puppies, heavens the shelters are full of them.

Hi, your dog doesnt need to release sexual tension and create more puppies. German Shepherds are prone to hip and elbow dysplasias and should not be bred without the appropriate testing in place. You could be creating some big problems for other people and the puppies. Not to mention a bitch that would have to go through a pregnancy with all the potential expensive problems that can occur

I would concentrate on training him and exercising him or maybe a dog sport. Plenty of entire males live out their lives happily without mating. The other option is to neuter him, that fixes up that problem.

    Another backyard breeder

Here's some advice....desex your dog and learn to spell the name of the breed.

I want to delete this post so bad.

But education might be a better option.

What you are proposing - some sort of doggy sexual release is so wrong I can't believe it.

No desexed female is going to accept your dog willingly. And any in heat female that does - then you have puppies. And the puppies won't be the best examples of the breed or improve the breed if you haven't paid for DNA tests for both the dog and the bitch to make sure you're not passing on hip dysplasia, back problems, temperament problems... and all the other problems that GSD can get.

It's not like you can prevent puppies - the bitch will only accept your dog if she's "ready" to have puppies. And that doesn't mean she will be pleased about having actual puppies or being pregnant - that can be massive risk to the bitch's health too. Are you willing to pay all the costs with getting the bitch enough vet supervision?

What about homes for all the puppies. The best GSD homes won't want them because you didn't do any health checks first.

    ARGGHHH...

Better to teach your dog to hump pillows or your leg than let it hump a "girl friend".

If you're still reading... you might want to take your dog along to meet these people
Adelaide Sport Dog Club - Wingfield

They will find a way to get you and your dog a more appropriate release of energy and also get you used to the idea that your dog's nuts are not your own.

And if your dog does really well at this - others in the club might consider him a good candidate for puppies - at least temperament wise. They'd still want to do the tests for structural soundness.

Trust me, the dog does not need to release sexual tension. 10 years of owning undesexed male dogs and none of them went potty or had to mate.

Work your dog - it needs work to do and proper drive training, not to knock up some random bitch. And by the way, if he's for whatever reason a pain in the butt now, letting him mate will actually make him worst... then there's also the risk of transmitted diseases (oh yes dogs get them too) getting into a dog fight, killing the bitch (it can happen), getting stuck in the bitch or trying to pull out while tied and injuring his penis severely or ripping her. Mating dogs properly is not bunny style the male actually locks in and twists 180 from where he started in order to mate. Then you have to hang onto the dogs properly in order to make sure nothing happens. If he can't finish and pull out you have to help him ... heeelllpppp him if you get my drift. I had to do it with a rottweiler. It's not fun man.

Yes for people who havent seen a dog tie it can be quite a shock. I was at a trial with one of my dogs and I left my 9 month old bitch that was in season and one of my neutered male dogs with my mother for the day.

Anyway the young neutered male mated with the little female and once tied when he came off they were stuck butt to butt like in the photo above of Nekhbets. I had an hysterical mother on the phone as I talked her through what she needed to do. Fortunately no harm done and she didnt have to get her hands in to help!.

Ha who thought neutered male dogs couldnt be coerced into mating. Fortunately no sperm involved.
