Maybe because as you seemed to know everything else we assumed you'd of course know that ..... looks like we were wrong , who would of ever thunk it *sigh*

Just on the breed thing as well ; Corso are a breed you dont see alot of and the breeders I know of with them are very responsible. I'm very surprised that you would have a 'pure' , 'perfect' Corso with no papers. Did you purchase pup from breeders?

If I knew everything, then I wouln't have joined this (edit) site. I do know how to spell though and last I looked there wasnt a word spelt THUNK!!!! Ha Ha.

No need to answer anymore of your (edit) questions. Im off to backyard breed with a Fox Terrier. Just out of curiosity though... How much schooling do you need to become a Kennel Assistant?

I'm a kennel assistant and I have quite a lot of schooling, I also have qualifications related to dogs and dogs in boarding and high stress environments. Being a kennel assistant is not just about picking up after dogs and having fun. Not recognise a stressed out dog, or fear aggressive dog and make the wrong move and you will live to regret it.

As regards finding a pure bred bitch for your dog. Your breed is very rare and registered breeders need to be very careful with regards to matings, puppy placement and owner education etc if they wish to continue to keep their breed. So as a result I doubt you will find a good purebred bitch for your dog as he is not registered. If he is on Limited Register then his breeder considered him not of the quality to breed from. If he was purchased without papers from a BYB then no registered breeder can use him.

This is me not being smart, but just stating how it is. The CC is very rare. A good registered breeder would not have allowed him to go unpapered, he would of at least been registered on the Limited register as all puppies in a litter must be if bred by a registered breeder, even those sold not for the purpose of breeding or showing must.

Not all puppies in a litter are of the quality to be bred from. A breeder normally always keeps the best for themselves naturally.

Obviously a lot more than your education as I can understand sarcasm.

Lost cause... Though maybe we can refer him/her to 'the other dog forum' for assistance on this matter?

I'm still chuckling over Reyzor's comment about his ex though. Very dry!

    Oh Lordy me...

Venom, as other posters said you will not find a papered bitch to breed with. You can of course find any old dog that looks similar to a cane corso and breed with that or you can get your dog neutered and keep another 14 or so pups out of a world where so many dogs are put to sleep daily due to over population.

Despite the myths, dogs don't actually need to "get one in". My two dogs haven't and never will despite the facts I'm sure they would make adorable puppies.

Have you had hip and elbow scores done of your boy? What about tests to rule out any common illnesses that CC's could carry? Ethical breeders rarely make money on a litter of pups. The expenses and time far outweigh the money made on the sale of pups. If you yourself would like another dog, why not adopt?

There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face.

Funny story, Jack actually managed to "get one in" many years after being neutered. Having never witnessed a mating me and my mate were a bit worried when they tied, my mate even went to get a tube of KY to try and help em lol.

I understand why you have taken offence at some of the replies, but honestly, they are right. Responsible breeders breed only for the betterment of their breed, you cannot do that with a non-pedigree dog. I recently went through the process of finding a new pup and knowing what i've learnt from this forum, i was able to navigate through the breeders to find a dog that i considered to be bred for the right reasons(i found plenty of registered breeders who i didn't consider ethical). It's a learning curve, like you, i knew nothing about responsible breeding practices when i got my last dog, hence i bought a backyard bred dog, he was great, but knowing what i know now i would never do that again. Try and get past the offence and learn from what people are telling you - they may be coming across to you as being insulting but a lot of these people work in rescue and see the thousands of dogs that get put to sleep every year because they are unwanted.

Lol before we had Bella desexed Harley tried (he was already neutered then) poor kid had no idea what he was doing though and spend most of the time humping her head with her going " Harley, what are you doing? Harley! stop" lol
