Thanks, I might have her scanned to ensure that it works then. I never thought of that complication.

I actually find it amazing that there are no instructions given to people moving to Oz with animals in regards to our laws and microchips.

Perhaps the Council will have answers on how we transfer it but I am not hopeful. I guess though if it doesn't work we would be best just re-chipping.

Pet-owner, *sigh* , this is yet another area that you have obviously failed to educate yourself about. Perhaps you should spend some time acquainting yourself with NSW Companion Animal Laws.
